My daughter received the shirt the other day (I had ordered it for her as a surprise). She loved the color and she loved the texture. (she also loves butterflies). Said it was so soft Thanks.
Butterfly Flutter Watercolor Tee
A fashion education, a Colorado studio, and a long-held idea about what a small boutique could be
The boutique she always meant to open — it just turned out to be online, and full of butterflies.
Anya went to school for fashion. Not as a detour or a second act — it was the thing she chose, and the thing she has been paying attention to ever since. Fabric weight. How a shoulder seam sits. Why one shade of blue looks alive on cotton and another goes flat.
And for as long as she can remember, she wanted a shop of her own. A small one. The kind where somebody who works there actually chose everything on the rail, and can tell you why.
The Known Pack is that shop. It happens to live online, and it happens to be full of butterflies, wildflowers and mountain light — because the other thing Anya has always done is notice. A bumblebee working a clover. A trumpet vine climbing a fence. The particular way a heron holds still.
There are now more than 450 original designs in the shop, and every one of them started the same way: with an observation and an idea — often a pencil sketch — then digital refinement, color testing, and repeated revisions before it earns a place in the collection. Some ideas take an afternoon. Some sit in a notebook for a season.
The fashion training shows up in the part most people never think about: the garment underneath. Nothing here is chosen because it was cheapest. Each tee, long sleeve, sweatshirt and hat is picked for how it wears, then made to order in the USA and printed only after someone asks for it. Slower than mass-produced apparel, and that is rather the point — less waste, a fresher print, and a piece made to last.
Some pieces are printed. Some are stitched. The embroidered hats and caps have the design worked directly into the fabric, and the front and back tees carry a small detail at the chest with the full illustration across the back. Different techniques, same standard.
“We don't take shortcuts” is the whole operating philosophy, and it shows up in small places — in the garment-dyed cotton that softens with every wash, in descriptions that tell you what a flower actually does, and in the honest note that a design's colors will read a little differently on dyed cotton than on a screen.
The designs are drawn from Colorado's wild places, so the shop gives back to them. Money is set aside from every order for trail and conservation work in Colorado, supporting the crews who build and maintain the paths these designs come from.
And on nearly every piece, somewhere, there is a butterfly. She does not announce herself. Finding her is half the fun, and the people who know to look are the reason this is called a pack at all.
Bird of the Month
The broad-tailed hummingbird remembers every flower she has visited today, and roughly how long each one takes to refill. Her brain is about the size of a grain of rice, and she is running a map and a timetable.
She appears on Hummingbird & Coneflowers, No. 1 in our Colorado Wild series.
Our Mission
To make art you can wear — design begins in Colorado, made to order in the USA on the softest garment-dyed cotton, and drawn from the wild places we help protect.
Get outside. Stay present. Give back. It is not just a tagline — it is the whole reason we are here.
Deciding what earns a place on the rail.
What We Make
