Garment-Dyed Sweatshirt · Eight Colors · Designed in Colorado
A black cat halfway up the Christmas tree, one paw on the red ornament, and no regrets.
Shown in White. Garment-dyed 9.5 oz heavyweight brushed fleece, soft from the first wear.
A sleek black cat with amber eyes, caught halfway up a decorated fir — body wrapped around the trunk, long tail hanging down through the branches, one paw stretched out to a red glass ornament it has clearly decided is a toy. The tree is strung with warm vintage bulbs, a few gold and red baubles, a gold star on top and a strand of tinsel already pulled loose. One gold ornament has made it to the floor. Painted in the manner of an old Christmas card, with soft paper grain and a warm glow on the fur so the cat reads on every color. No text, no slogan — the cat says it all.
The Design
Large front-centered chest print — not a back print
Subject: a black cat climbing a lit Christmas tree, reaching for a red ornament, with a gold star on top and one bauble on the floor
Style: painted vintage Christmas-card illustration with soft paper grain
No text. There is no lettering, slogan or wordmark anywhere in this design
Technique: a printed graphic — the ink sits in the fleece, straight onto the garment color with no background panel, and nothing is stitched or sewn on
Shown in Pepper. The same cat on eight garment-dyed grounds — the shirt color becomes the room.
Anyone who has shared a house with a cat knows the tree is not decoration. It is a climbing structure with lights on it, and it goes up once a year specifically for them. The ornaments near the bottom get moved up. The ones near the top get moved down anyway. Somewhere around the second week of December, you stop putting the fallen ones back, and the one gold bauble on the floor becomes part of the tradition. This is a sweatshirt for the people who have made their peace with that.
The Story Behind It
✦ ✦ ✦
She brought him home from the shelter two weeks before Christmas — a skinny black cat nobody else had picked, because black cats get left till last. The tree was already up. He spent the first evening under it, watching the lights, and she thought: good, he's settling in.
She woke at two in the morning to the sound of a glass ornament rolling across the floorboards, and found him exactly like this — halfway up, tail hanging through the branches, one paw on the red one, looking straight at her with no shame at all. The red one survived. It has hung low on the tree every year since, where he can reach it, because she decided that was easier than arguing.
He's old now, and mostly sleeps under the tree the way he did that first night. But some evening every December, when the house is quiet, she'll hear the branches move — and she doesn't get up. Nobody saw anything.
✦ ✦ ✦
Wear it for the cat who gets picked last, and climbs highest.
Shown in Chambray. The print runs large and centered on the chest, straight onto the garment color — no panel, no frame, not a back print.
A Christmas gift for the cat mom, the cat dad, the friend whose black cat has its own Instagram, or the grandmother who still says "the cat's been at the tree" every single year. It is a Christmas design without being a Christmas joke — no ugly-sweater lettering, no slogan — so it goes under the tree in December and gets worn through the whole cold season.

80% ring-spun US cotton, 20% polyester, 9.5 oz heavyweight — substantial, and warm enough to be the layer rather than something under one
Three-end fleece with a 100% cotton face and a brushed fleece interior, warmer than a lighter French terry

Holds its shape through the wash, with almost no shrinkage at home
The graphic will not crack or peel. It is printed flat into the face of the fleece — no heavy vinyl patch, no rubbery texture, nothing to pull loose
Choosing a Color
The design is deep fir green, a black cat with a warm glow on the fur, red and gold ornaments, amber lights and a gold star — with no painted background, so the shirt color is the room. The lit tree gives it a strong outline on any ground.
White. A soft, warm off-white. The tree and the cat are the darkest things on the shirt, the red ornament is the brightest — the crispest version of the eight, and the one on the hero photo.
Grey. A light heathered grey, like a December afternoon indoors. Calm and neutral, and the easiest of the eight to give.
Chambray. The palest washed blue. The green tree and red ornaments sit beautifully on it — the most Christmas-card of the light colors.
Blue Jean. A light washed denim. Green and red on blue is a classic holiday pairing, and it wears easily past January.
Denim. A dark washed indigo — the living room with the lamps off and only the tree lit. Moody and rich.
Pepper. A soft washed black, closer to charcoal than jet. The lights and ornaments glow against it and the cat's warm edge-light keeps him visible — the black-cat-on-black choice for the people who own black cats.
Blue Spruce. Deep evergreen, close to the tree itself, so the fir settles into the shirt and the lights, ornaments and cat step forward. The most subtle of the eight.
Light Green. Soft sage. A gentler, cottage-at-Christmas feel; the red ornaments do the work here.
Garment-dyed colors look softer and more muted in person than on a screen, and each piece varies slightly. That lived-in tone is part of the charm.
Sizing
A relaxed unisex cut that most people wear true to size. Size down one for a closer fit.
Adult sizes only, S to 3XL. Between sizes? We will make it right, free.
