Blue-and-white porcelain bells hang among winter botanicals and evergreen greenery, drawn the way an old pattern book would have drawn them — fine cobalt linework on a pale glaze, with the foliage layered behind. It is festive without being loud, and it keeps working in January, when the tinsel is down and it is still cold.

This is a bell graphic, not a bell sleeve. The bells are in the artwork. The garment has straight long sleeves with ribbed cuffs — no flare, no bell cuff, no 70s silhouette.

Blue-and-white porcelain is older than almost anything else in a Christmas box. Cobalt was being painted under a clear glaze in Jingdezhen by the fourteenth century, and when the ships started carrying it west, Europe spent three hundred years trying and failing to work out how it was done — Delft got the look by painting tin-glazed earthenware instead, which is why so much “china” from the Netherlands is not china at all. The pattern survived every one of those attempts. Hang a bell in it and you get something that reads as a heirloom on sight, even when nobody can tell you why.
The Story Behind It

There were two bells in the box, wrapped in the same tissue every year, and a third that had lost its clapper sometime before anyone could remember. Her mother hung all three anyway. “That one’s resting.”
The rule in that house was that you did not need a reason. A letter came, a test went well, the snow finally stopped — somebody rang a bell. Her father once rang one because the furnace had started on the first try.
Years later she found the quiet one at the bottom of a box in her own attic, still in tissue. She hung it on the tree beside the other two and did not mention it to anybody.
Her daughter noticed it that evening. “That one doesn’t ring.” — “No. It’s resting.”

Combed and ring-spun means the short fibres are removed and the rest twisted smooth, which gives a finer surface than standard jersey — and fine surfaces hold fine detail. On cobalt linework that is the difference between seeing it and not.
Side-seamed for shape, with ribbed cuffs that hold
Athletic Heather is 90% Airlume cotton with 10% polyester; every other color is 100% cotton
A printed graphic, printed direct-to-garment so the ink sits in the weave — no heavy vinyl patch, no rubbery texture, no stitching
Choosing a Color
Natural. The one shown, and our favorite. A warm unbleached cream that sits closest to unglazed porcelain, so the cobalt reads at its deepest and the whole thing looks like it came off a shelf rather than a press.
Forest. Deep evergreen, and the strongest seasonal mood of the five. The cobalt and the white both lift off it, the way an ornament lifts off a tree.
Navy. A tonal blue-on-blue reading. The white of the porcelain carries the contrast here instead of the blue, which makes it the quietest dark of the five.
White. The crispest separation. Every cobalt line and every leaf edge stands clear, with nothing competing.
Athletic Heather. Light flecked grey, the most casual of the five, and the one that reads as everyday rather than occasion.
Two honest notes. On Navy the cobalt linework sits in the same family as the shirt, so the bells read more gently than they do on Natural or Forest. And Athletic Heather is a 90/10 cotton-polyester blend rather than pure cotton, which gives it a slightly softer, more muted print than the solid colors.
Forest and Navy make it a bright thing against a dark ground. Natural and White make it a porcelain study. Both are right; they are simply different moods. Actual garment color may vary a little from the images — every screen renders color differently.
Sizing
A relaxed, boxy unisex cut that wears a touch oversized, and is made to layer. If you want it closer to the body, size down one.
This long sleeve runs S to 2XL. If you need 3XL or 4XL, our short-sleeve tees carry the full size range.

Care
Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low. Avoid bleach, high heat, and ironing directly over the artwork.
